The DPP-C70 iLCD panels with the fast 32-bit iLCD controller DPC3090 have 128 MB of flash memory on board. The flash memory offers plenty of space for images, text, fonts and macros. 8 MB of fast RAM for supporting multiple screen contents complete the generous features of this iLCD panel. In addition, the storage space for graphics and customer-specific data can be expanded as desired by using the on-board MicroSD card holder. A connector is also available for connecting an external standard SD card. The DPP-T70 iLCD panel can also be operated in portrait mode.
The touchscreen of the DPP-C70 works with projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology. It supports multi-touch operation with up to five touch points, which can be activated via configuration parameters. Finger movements on the touch display are reported and interpreted by the respective application. Adaptation to the installation-specific capacitive couplings is achieved with additional parameters.
In addition to the parameterizable high-level commands, the iLCDs can be programmed in Java. The slim Java VM integrated into the firmware executes the compiled Java code. In addition to the existing functionalities, Java Display Computing also allows computing operations on the iLCD panel or even the control of the entire application via the iLCD panel. Project development takes place in the iLCD Manager XE, which contains a complete Java development environment with editor, compiler and debugger.
The optional TCP/IP interface enables the networking of iLCDs and a particularly fast transfer of application data. It is therefore also recommended for the rapid development of stand-alone applications, which are ultimately controlled via another interface (USB, RS232, I²C or SPI).
The TFT display of the DPP-T70 has a brightness of 300 cd/m2 and is equipped with LED backlight. This allows graphics to be displayed with full 16-bit color depth or with 8-bit (with automatically generated 16-bit palette) color depth. As is usual with iLCD panels, the display of animated graphics (color GIF images) is also quick and easy.
Evaluation kits with the DPP-T70 or the DPP-C70 are available for testing and application development. Each kit contains the necessary hardware and software components to implement all iLCD features.
