The 5.7″ iLCD has an industry standard size with a resolution of 640×480 pixels. It contains our fast 32-bit iLCD controller DPC3090 and 128 MByte flash memory on board. The DPP-x57 is the successor model to our DPP-CT6448 and continues to offer full VGA resolution on an active area of 112.9×84.7 mm. It is compatible with its predecessor model in terms of application, dimensions and pin assignments.
The touchscreen of the DPP-C57 works with projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology. It supports multi-touch operation; up to five touch points can be activated via configuration parameters. Finger movements on the touch display are reported and interpreted by the respective application. Adaptation to the installation-specific capacitive couplings is achieved with additional parameters.
In addition to the parameterizable high-level commands, the iLCDs can be programmed in Java. The slim Java VM integrated into the firmware executes the compiled Java code. In addition to the existing functionalities, Java Display Computing also allows computing operations on the iLCD panel or even the control of the entire application via the iLCD panel. Project development takes place in the iLCD Manager XE, which contains a complete Java development environment with editor, compiler and debugger.
With a flash memory of 128 MB for images, text, fonts and macros as well as 8 MB RAM for supporting multiple screen contents, you are equipped for all requirements. In addition, the storage space for graphics and customer-specific data can be expanded as desired by using the on-board MicroSD card holder. In addition, a connector is now available for connecting an external standard SD card. The 5.7″ iLCD can also be operated in portrait mode.
The optional TCP/IP interface enables the networking of iLCDs and a particularly fast transfer of application data. It is therefore also recommended for the rapid development of stand-alone applications, which are ultimately controlled via another interface (USB, RS232, I²C or SPI).
On the excellent TFT display with 350 cd/m2 With a brightness and a contrast of 500, graphics can be displayed with full 16-bit color depth or with 8-bit (with automatically generated 16-bit palette) color depth. As is usual with iLCD panels, the display of animated graphics (color GIF images) is also quick and easy.
Evaluation kits with the DPP-T57 or the DPP-C57 are available for testing and application development. Each kit contains the necessary hardware and software components to implement all iLCD features.
