The DPP-x43 iLCD panel is equipped with the fast 32-bit iLCD controller DPC3090 and 128 MByte flash memory on board and is the successor to the DPP-CT4827. The DPP-x43 is compatible with its predecessor model in terms of application, dimensions and pin assignments.
The flash memory offers plenty of space for images, text, fonts and macros. 8 MB of fast RAM for supporting multiple screen contents complete the generous features of this iLCD panel. In addition, the storage space for graphics and customer-specific data can be expanded as desired by using the on-board MicroSD card holder. The DPP-x43 iLCD panel can also be operated in portrait mode.
In addition to the parameterizable high-level commands, it is possible to program the iLCDs in Java. The slim Java VM integrated into the firmware executes the compiled Java code. In addition to the existing functionalities, Java Display Computing also allows computing operations on the iLCD panel or even the control of the entire application via the iLCD panel. Project development takes place in the iLCD Manager XE, which contains a complete Java development environment with editor, compiler and debugger.
The optional TCP/IP interface enables the networking of iLCDs and a particularly fast transfer of application data. It is therefore also recommended for the rapid development of stand-alone applications, which are ultimately controlled via another interface (USB, RS232, I²C or SPI).
The TFT display of the DPP-x43 has a brightness of 400 cd/m2 (with touchscreen) up to 500 cd/m2 (without touchscreen) and is equipped with LED backlight. This allows graphics to be displayed with full 16-bit color depth or with 8-bit (with automatically generated 16-bit palette) color depth. As is usual with iLCD panels, the display of animated graphics (color GIF images) is also quick and easy.
An evaluation kit with an extra circuit board with FFC connector, ribbon cable and all required cables is available. The kit also contains a plug-in power supply, a CD with software and comprehensive documentation, and a set of MicroSD card, SD adapter and USB reader.
