The existing series is getting an addition. After the successful launch of our iLCD Linux series with the i.MX8M+ processor from NXP, we are in the final phase of another new development. The principle remains the same: a compact, high-end solution that not only visualizes, but also supports device control, thus minimizing development effort.
The heart of this series is a system on a module with the new i.MX93 from NXP. This high-performance and energy-efficient processor meets common industry standards and offers sufficient performance to control a large number of applications while being more cost-effective to use. Paired with our high-resolution, super-bright IPS displays, an optimal human-machine interface is created.
We thus offer our customers a slightly lower performance but more cost-effective solution for our intelligent Linux displays, which is suitable for a wide range of applications in the industrial sector, medical technology, automation and other sectors.
The series, like our i.MX8M+ series, will be available both as a “bonded solution” and as a “mainboard”. Display sizes from 5.0″ to 15.6″ are planned.
Displays can be found in almost all designs today. In addition to an optimal product solution, customers also want reliable partners, simple supply chains and cost efficiency. With the completion of the F-series and the start of the LCD Pure Series we now offer a wide range of all-in-one solutions in the HMI area.
The intelligent one F-series, upgraded with a 528-MHz processor, enables “display computing” with the object-oriented high-level language Java – without any operating system. This means that this line can control all functions of a device without the use of an external controller and our iLCD Linux With its 1,8 GHz quad-core processor, the series processes every 3D rendering in no time. This saves development time and ensures a fast time to market.
For optimal display, all our series feature the new “LCD Pure“ are used, which are characterized by high-resolution, super-bright IPS displays and impress with a large reading angle, which hardly changes the colors even at oblique viewing angles.

Full-service HMI solutions consisting of hardware, firmware, software and GUI development are also possible. This allows customers to concentrate more intensively on their core competencies.
The demands on HMIs are increasing and designers and developers are increasingly looking for partners who can cover individual needs as centrally as possible. "With the introduction of the iLCD Linux series and the market entry with pure, customizable LCD panels, we can act as such a partner," explains Clemens Salomon, commercial director of demmel products. Customers can choose from instant boot solutions with integrated microcontrollers, ready-to-run embedded Linux HMIs and classic TFT-LCDs. The various series are as mechanically compatible as possible, while the intelligent HMIs also enable cross-product functionality on the software side. This reduces redundancy in new projects, increases the scalability of applications and devices and makes them future-proof.
At this year's trade fair, demmel products will be showing high-end HMIs that not only offer outstanding image quality up to Full HD, but also feature elegant design and high-performance system on a module with optimal energy efficiency.
All series have been upgraded with super-bright, high-resolution IPS displays as standard. The intelligent Linux series - iLCD Linux - has been expanded to include the 10.1", 12.1" and 15.6" sizes. At the same time, in addition to the high-performance HMIs equipped with the i.MX8M+, an even more cost-efficient version with the i.MX93 is being launched. Elements such as display properties, cover glass, performance, interfaces, etc. can be customized to meet customer requirements. Requirements such as long-term availability and life cycle management are a matter of course, because these are essential not only for the customer, but also for the company. The majority of the LCDs and hardware that are recommended are also used internally for the intelligent displays. The principle of the internal customer is therefore not only pursued, but actually lived.
Last year, demmel products also successfully expanded its partner network. Danube Dynamics, an expert in the field of embedded software and AI/machine learning, was brought on board. Candera GmbH acts as a reliable partner for professional support in GUI design. By expanding the portfolio and network, full-service solutions in the HMI area can be implemented efficiently. This minimizes effort and risk for the customer.

At embedded world 2022, the company will also be showing its proven and further developed iLCD JPro line, which enables display computing without an operating system. The new F series offers significantly more performance and features.
demmel products is setting new standards in intelligent displays with high-resolution IPS displays: The company is presenting a new, high-performance line of its Java-programmable iLCDs at embedded world 2020. Java on a Chip (JoC) – a mini-format controller programmable in Java is also the focus of the trade fair appearance.
demmel products is presenting Java on a Chip (JoC) for the first time at the embedded world 2019, Hall 1, Stand 371. This Java-programmable controller with an area of just 24 x 36 mm was designed for a wide range of applications in smart systems. With JoC, a lot of time and money can be saved in industrial environments thanks to the minimized programming effort.
demmel products is once again expanding its product range. The 10.2″ iLCD with Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touch is now available. All capacitive iLCD models from 5.0″ to 10.2″ are suitable for use in harsh environments where vandal-proof or dirt-free designs are required.
At embedded world 2018, demmel products is showing its iLCD product line with the world's only intelligent displays programmable in Java. Features such as the on-board Java Virtual Machine (Java VM), capacitive touch panels for vandal-proof designs and the intuitive development environment iLCD Manager XE ensure comprehensive usability of the iLCDs as a human-machine interface.
The iLCD panels from demmel products can now also be programmed in Java. This means that for the first time, "display computing" is possible on intelligent displays in an object-oriented high-level language without an operating system.
demmel products now offers the new intelligent touch displays with a diagonal of 4.3″, 5.7″ and 7″. These are equipped with the fast DPC3090 controller and 128 MB of flash memory. All six iLCDs between 3.5″ and 10.2″ therefore have the same high level of equipment. This sets a standard for intelligent displays.
demmel products is once again presenting a unique feature at embedded world 2016. With the iLCD Simulator in the latest version of iLCD Manager XE, any iLCD panel can be evaluated without having it physically in front of you.
At embedded world 2015, demmel products is presenting the font anti-aliasing that is unique for intelligent displays. This unique selling point is now standard in the award-winning iLCD product line.
demmel products is presenting its iLCD models with capacitive touchscreens at electronica 2014. The 5.0", 5.7" and 7.0" iLCDs are now also available with Projected Capacitive Touch technology.
